Windows 7, just until Service Pack 1 ?


It has been previously reported that the presence of Windows 8 updates will signify the end of an era that is often presented Service Pack Microsoft to improve the existing system.

According to the website The Register, Microsoft is not going to bring the Service Pack 2 for Windows 7. This also applies to Service Pack on Windows.


This was re-affirmed following a rumor that says that Service Pack 2 for Windows 7 will be available before the end of the year.

Instead, Windows users should download the update directly (update), patches (patches) and improvements (fixes) that will be presented on a regular basis each month. It will continue to support Windows 7 which is scheduled to expire in 2015 and 2020 versions of Mainstream Support for Extended Support.

It is also one of Microsoft's step in developing a new strategy to develop services which Service Pack need a lot more time and money than presenting an update (update) periodically.

Moreover, it can also be considered as a way to encourage users to adopt the new operating system, which is more secure than their predecessors.

Windows 7 was officially launched in October 2009, and its Service Pack 1 comes two years later, in February 2011.
